Joe Rosenthal, best known for his 1945 picture of Marines raising the the American flag over Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima, has died at the age of 94 .بالا رفتن پرچم ايالات متحده توسط دريانوردان در قله كوهي در جزيره ي ايوجيما واقع در كشور ژاپن ، جو روزنتال بخاتر اين عكس موفق به دريافت جايزه ي پوليتزر شد ، وي در 94 سالگي چشم از جهان هستي فرو بست
